GIRDAC PDF Converter Pro

GIRDAC PDF Converter Pro takes the task of converting between PDF and plenty of other printable formats seriously, with plenty of useful options. The program is simple to install and it supports more than 100 languages for the user interface.
The initial window is pretty straight-forward. You can select between "PDF to Word", "PDF to Excel" and "Create PDF", which are quite self-explanatory, with the last one being able to create a PDF document using other file formats.
Users have complete control over the file (or several files) they want to convert to Word document, with various options, such as Formatted Text, Plain Text, etc. However, the OCR option is the most interesting one, as it can analyze a PDF with scanned text and turn it into a Word document. This can be helpful to users who need to rewrite scanned text on the go.
The PDF to Excel option is also interesting in certain cases, but it has less customizable options than the PDF to Word, which is to be expected. The Create PDF option is pretty basic as it's supposed to be used for the same job that can be done with the Microsoft Print to PDF option. Still, it's nice to have all of your PDF tools in one place.
Overall, the program is pretty easy to use and users can customize everything to their preferences. People may argue that there are many free online tools doing the same job, but a lot of them display some errors, especially when dealing with documents containing non-English characters. Finally, most of them don't dare to deal with scanned documents, yet GIRDAC PDF Converter Pro bravely takes them on and presents decent results.
